Custom Software Development

Big-company requirements. No Big Four price tag.

Enterprise software projects fail not because of bad code — but because vendors scope them wrong, promise the moon, and disappear after go-live. We build enterprise systems the way we'd build them for ourselves: scoped to what you actually need, documented so your team owns it, and designed to survive staff turnover and changing requirements.

What's included

  • Multi-tenant architecture
  • Role-based access control
  • Audit logs & compliance

Why Origin for Enterprise Software Development

Real users in the room from day two

We insist on access to actual end-users during design. Software adopted because it was bought is not the same as software adopted because it works.

Documentation is a deliverable, not an afterthought

Architecture diagrams, data dictionaries, and runbooks are scoped into every enterprise engagement. Your team should be able to operate the system without us.

Compliance designed in, not bolted on

GDPR, SOC2, ISO 27001, HIPAA — we design the data model and access controls around your compliance requirements before the first line of code is written.

Industries we serve

Banking & Finance
Core banking, compliance tooling, reporting
Healthcare
Patient management, clinical workflows, HIPAA
Manufacturing
ERP, production tracking, supply chain
Logistics
Fleet management, warehouse systems, tracking
Government
Public service platforms, audit-grade compliance
Origin built our internal operations platform from scratch. Three years in, it's still clean, well-documented, and our team can extend it without calling them.

Frequently asked questions

We already use SAP / Salesforce / Oracle — can you integrate with it?
Yes. Most enterprise builds require integration with existing systems rather than replacing them. We've built connectors for SAP, Salesforce, NetSuite, and Microsoft Dynamics — using standard APIs where they exist and direct DB connectors or ETL pipelines where they don't.
How do you handle data security and compliance requirements?
We design for compliance from day one — not as an afterthought. That means data encryption at rest and in transit, full audit logging, role-based data access, and GDPR/SOC2-aligned practices. If you need specific certifications (ISO 27001, HIPAA), we align our architecture and processes to those requirements from the start.
We've invested in enterprise tools before that nobody ended up using. How do you prevent that?
Adoption failures happen when software is designed by committee for a theoretical user. We involve the actual end-users — not just the buyer — in the design process from day two. We also treat training and onboarding as part of the build scope, not an afterthought.
Can you build on our existing infrastructure or do we need to migrate?
We work with what you have — whether that's on-premise servers, Azure, AWS, or a hybrid setup. We design for your actual environment, not the ideal one. If migration makes sense for performance or cost reasons, we'll say so clearly and show you the numbers.
How do you handle a project this size without losing track of requirements?
We keep a living requirements document in your project workspace, updated after every sprint review. Every change is logged against the original scope with a reason. Nothing gets quietly added or quietly dropped — you always know exactly what's in the next release.
